We were commissioned by Innovation Norway to design and build the Norway Pavilion at Gastech 2026, creating a substantial exhibition environment that brought together 14 Norwegian organisations under a strong and consistent national identity.
Held from 14–17 September 2026 at BITEC Bangkok, Gastech is one of the world’s major international energy exhibitions and conferences, bringing together companies, policymakers, technology providers and industry professionals from across the global energy sector.
The Norway Pavilion showcased expertise from across the energy value chain, including offshore engineering, floating infrastructure, LNG, safety systems, carbon capture, digital technology, classification and finance.
For Fret Free Exhibitions, this was an important international project and an opportunity to deliver a high-profile national pavilion for Innovation Norway at one of the largest events on the global energy calendar.
A Proud Opening for the Norway Pavilion
The completed pavilion was officially opened on the first morning of Gastech, with representatives from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Thailand, Innovation Norway, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and participating Norwegian companies in attendance.
It was an honour having His Excellency Frode Solberg, Norwegian Ambassador to Thailand, officially opening our pavilion at Gastech Thailand this morning. It was a fantastic moment after all the work that went into bringing the Norway Pavilion together.

About Innovation Norway

At Gastech 2026, Innovation Norway brought together 14 Norwegian organisations within the Norway Pavilion:
Aize, Aker Solutions, Autronica Fire and Security, BW LNG, CoreMarine, DNB, DNV, ECOnnect Energy, Eld Energy, KLINGER Westad, Oliasoft, PASSER Marine, Tunable and UMOE Advanced Composites.
Together, the organisations represented a broad cross-section of Norway’s energy expertise and provided visitors with the opportunity to explore Norwegian technologies, services and capabilities within a single exhibition environment.
The Brief
With 14 participating organisations sharing one pavilion, the challenge was to create an exhibition environment that felt cohesive while still allowing each company to maintain its own identity and communicate its individual expertise.
The pavilion also needed to provide practical spaces for meetings, presentations and networking throughout the four-day event, while maintaining an open and welcoming environment for visitors.
The key requirements included:
- Strong National Identity: Creating an immediately recognisable Norway Pavilion with a consistent visual identity throughout the space.
- 14 Participating Organisations: Providing individual visibility for each organisation while maintaining a cohesive overall design.
- Individual Exhibitor Areas: Dedicated branded spaces where participating organisations could present their technologies and services.
- Meeting & Networking Space: Creating practical areas for conversations, introductions, presentations and business meetings throughout the event.
Integrated Technology: Incorporating digital displays and presentation areas into the overall stand design. - Premium Finish: Delivering the quality and attention to detail expected from a national pavilion at a major international exhibition.
- Complete Event Delivery: Coordinating the production and installation of the pavilion at BITEC Bangkok ahead of the exhibition opening.
The Final Result
The completed Norway Pavilion created a strong focal point for Team Norway within Gastech 2026.
Natural finishes, bold Norwegian branding, individual company areas and integrated digital displays helped create a contemporary exhibition environment that provided participating organisations with their own identity while remaining clearly connected to the wider Norway Pavilion.
Throughout the four-day exhibition, the pavilion hosted company presentations, meetings and networking activities, including daily Lunch & Learn sessions and a dedicated Norway networking event.
