Zyn Pop-Up: Brand Activation at Westfield Stratford

A while back we headed to Westfield Stratford City to set up a brand activation for Zyn. The goal was simple: create an inviting, functional space in one of London’s busiest shopping hubs to introduce adult consumers to Zyn’s nicotine pouches.

Unlike a standard exhibition, a retail environment like Westfield moves fast. We needed a booth that could catch the eye of passersby and start a conversation without feeling intrusive.

A Bit About Zyn

Zyn is a leading name in the smoke-free, tobacco-free nicotine pouch market. Designed for adult consumers looking for a discreet and convenient alternative, the brand is all about a modern lifestyle. Their focus is on clean design, subtle flavours, and responsible, compliant messaging.

The Brief

Zyn needed a cost-effective activation that looked professional but stayed within a specific budget. The setup had to be modular and easy to install, making the most of a compact footprint in a high-traffic area.

The main requirements were:

  • Clear Visibility: Making sure the booth was easy to spot from different angles.

  • Approachable Design: Creating a space where people felt comfortable stopping to chat.

  • Practical Space: Enough room for product education and compliant sampling.

  • Efficiency: Maximising the small floor space provided by Westfield.

The Challenge

Designing for Westfield Stratford means competing with a lot of visual noise. We had to balance strict mall regulations and busy footfall with the need for a high-quality finish—all while keeping costs down.

The activation needed to guide customer flow naturally so the area didn’t get congested, ensuring the Zyn team could focus on meaningful interactions with shoppers.

The Result

The final booth was clean, simple, and effective. By using modular construction and smart branding panels, we achieved a premium look that didn’t break the bank, and was quick to setup.

The layout featured a streamlined counter that served as a natural focal point for conversations. This allowed the Zyn team to engage with adult consumers and explain the product range in a relaxed, professional setting. It just goes to show that you don’t need an unlimited budget to make an impact—you just need a smart strategy and a well-executed design.
